Kuwait launches advisory economic unit

His Highness the Prime Minister will serve as the unit’s leader, together with officials of the relevant government agencies, according to Abdulaziz Dakhil Al-Dakhil, chief of the Kuwaiti Prime Minister’s Office.

According to Kuwait News Agency (KUNA), this is based on the instructions of His Highness the Prime Minister Shaikh Ahmad Al-Nawaf Al-Sabah, on the importance of adopting an advanced approach to support the national economy and work on attracting valued investments and enhance the role of the private sector in line with Kuwait Vision 2035.

According to Al-Dakhil, the unit will evaluate and establish economic, financial, and development laws and policies in order to realize the Kuwait Vision 2035, among other objectives.

The unit will work on strengthening the ties between economic, financial, developmental and operational institutions, noted Al-Dakhil, and joining their efforts to promote economic development in the country.

The unit will discuss ways to improve the environment of small and medium enterprises in a way that will enhance their role in achieving the country’s economic development goals, added Al-Dakhil, noting that it will work to establish national economic security, to provide a safe economic environment, stimulating growth and investment.
