The Dubai Press Club has announced the 10th edition of the Emirati Media Forum, set to take place on 28 October under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed

Under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Ahmed bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Second Deputy Ruler of Dubai and Chairman of the Dubai Media Council, the Dubai Press Club (DPC) has announced the 10th edition of the Emirati Media Forum (EMF), to be held on 28 October at the iconic Museum of the Future in Dubai.

The milestone edition of the Forum is set to bring together an influential mix of UAE media leaders, editors-in-chief, renowned writers, opinion leaders, digital influencers, and content creators, as well as professionals from across the regional and national media spectrum.

Since its inception, the EMF has served as a vital national platform for dialogue, shaping the discourse around the UAE’s media development, challenges, and opportunities. It continues to support the vision of building a robust, competitive, and globally relevant Emirati media sector.

A Platform for Progress

This year’s forum will focus on a wide array of topics relevant to both traditional and digital media, including:

  • The impact of regional and global developments on the UAE’s media landscape
  • The role of Emirati media in fostering cultural diversity and social cohesion
  • Combating misinformation and reinforcing public trust in national narratives
  • Empowering youth and content creators to amplify the UAE’s success stories globally
  • Leveraging digital transformation and modern technologies to create impactful content

Mona Ghanem Al Marri, Vice Chairperson and Managing Director of the Dubai Media Council and President of the Dubai Press Club, emphasised the Forum’s strategic importance. She said since its launch, the Emirati Media Forum has served as a key national platform for exploring issues that lie at the heart of Emirati media and its vital role in accelerating the country’s development. She added, The 10th edition comes at a pivotal time, as we embrace a future shaped by digital transformation, new media platforms, and the growing importance of storytelling that reflects the UAE’s global standing.

She noted that today’s media landscape demands a sector that is agile, creative, and attuned to the rapid transformations unfolding globally. She emphasized the need for a media ecosystem capable of responding to change with professionalism and a strong sense of responsibility. In this context, the Forum serves as a vital opportunity to reaffirm the media’s role in safeguarding national achievements, supporting the UAE’s development trajectory, and delivering its message to the world with credibility and impact.

Reflecting on the Forum’s journey over the past decade, Al Marri said that it has consistently captured both the ambitions and challenges facing the media sector. As the Forum marks its tenth edition, it enters a new phase of dialogue—one that fosters practical ideas and future-oriented thinking. She highlighted that the Emirati Media Forum has become a cornerstone of the national media landscape. Under the guidance of the UAE’s leadership, there remains a steadfast belief in the power of the word as a driver of progress, and in the value of dialogue to spark innovation, deepen collaboration, and elevate the media’s role in nation-building.

Maryam Al Mulla, Director of the Dubai Press Club, highlighted that for the past ten years, the Forum has brought together media leaders and professionals from across the UAE to explore the sector’s evolution, strategic direction, and emerging challenges. She noted that as the UAE continues to make significant strides across all fields in the face of global change, the media must go beyond traditional reporting to play an active role in shaping the future.

Al Mulla affirmed that the objective moving forward is to build a media sector that inspires positive change, embraces innovation, and effectively integrates technologies such as artificial intelligence to boost credibility, impact, and leadership. She expressed optimism that this year’s Forum will spark fresh ideas and bold perspectives to elevate the UAE media sector’s regional and global influence.

The EMF continues to reinforce Dubai’s and the UAE’s role as a media innovation hub, in line with the nation’s broader goals of knowledge leadership, youth empowerment, and international communication.

The event is expected to generate forward-looking insights and actionable recommendations to further strengthen the UAE’s media ecosystem and prepare it for the next decade of growth.
