A contract for the provision of support and maintenance services for Bahrain International Airport (BIA) was signed by Bahrain Airport Company (BAC), the organization in charge of running and managing Bahrain International Airport (BIA), and Thales-SITA, a group specializing in airport operations and communications systems. This will include mission-critical systems related to operational passenger processing and airport security.
On the second day of the Bahrain International Airshow, BAC CEO Mohamed Yousif AlBinfalah, Thales Vice President of Sales Roger Nakouzi, and SITA Country Director Christophe Ravoire signed the three-year contract. Mahmood AlSeddiqi, vice president of BAC’s information, communication, and technology division, as well as other representatives from both organizations, attended the event. After the current two-year contract expires, the new agreement takes effect in January 2023, reinforcing the long-standing and strategic partnership between the two businesses.
