The US Senate has approved a major policy measure
The US Senate has approved a major policy measure allowing the Department of Defense to spend $900.6 billion in fiscal year 2026.
The 2026 National Defense Authorization Act, which the House of Representatives passed on December 10, will now go to President Donald Trump, who has indicated he will sign it into law. The Senate approved the bill with a strong 77–20 vote.
