India is losing talent at a higher rate than any other country in the world, according to data compiled by LinkedIn.
The professional social networking site with more than 380m members globally analysed every position posted to the site between January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2014.
The results demonstrated that India is losing the most talent with 0.23% of its workforce leaving the country, followed by France losing 0.20% and Italy 0.19%.
In the same study, it was concluded that the UAE is the top destination where expatriate workers seek employment and the country made a 1.89% gain in its workforce.
Most of these professionals landed roles in professional services, architectural and engineering, financial services and insurance, technology (software) and retail and consumer products sectors.
India remains the number one source country for professionals in the UAE, but inflows from other places like United Kingdom, United States and Qatar are on the rise.
“The UAE’s attractiveness as an employment market is no longer limited to the traditional sources of talent, which for years have been India, Pakistan and other Arab states,” said Ali Matar, head of talent solutions, LinkedIn Middle East and North Africa.
