UAE contractor ALEC, has won the contract for The New Jebel Ali School located inside Akoya by Damac earlier today. The new school will comprise separate foundation, primary and secondary school buildings, including a sports hall, auditorium and external swimming pool and outdoor sports pitches.
The project, a design and build contract headed by ALEC, part of Al Jaber Group, will directly engage Broadway Malyan as the lead consultant, with other sub consultants to be named. ALEC will carry out the concrete, wet trades and MEP works directly and will appoint specialist subcontractors for façade, finishes, and external works packages.
Carl Wamsley, senior contracts manager at ALEC, said: “ALEC is delighted to be involved in the development of the new Jebel Ali School and its facilities. We are committed to delivering the highest quality building, to be completed in time for the new school opening in August 2016.”
