Mirza Ibracevic will oversee the health club and pool operations of Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre, Le Meridien Fairway, Aloft & Element Al Mina and Aloft & Element Airport
Marriott International announced this week the promotion of Mirza Ibracevic, Director of Recreation at Natural Elements Gym & Spa at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Center, to Complex Director of Recreation by Marriott International.
Having been in his previous position for a year and a half, Ibracevic takes on this new role with immediate effect, and will grow his portfolio of responsibilities from Natural Elements Gym & Spa at Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Center to six Wasl owned properties including Le Meridien Fairway, Aloft & Element Al Mina and Aloft & Element Airport, and will oversee four gyms and eight pools in total.
He started his journey with Le Meridien Dubai Hotel & Conference Centre in February 2022, during which he managed the successful operations of Natural Elements and expansion of recreational offerings, on boarding new programs, as well as enhancing the overall experience for guests and gym members.
Mirza began his career in the Middle East as Spa & Recreation Supervisor at the Crowne Plaza Doha hotel. He later worked at the Holiday Inn Doha before relocating to Dubai in 2017 to work as the Recreation and Health Club Manager at the Renaissance Downtown Hotel. He then joined Melia Hotels as Recreation & Fitness Manager, where he rose through the ranks to the position of Spa & Recreation Manager through dedication and hard work.
Within the last 12 months, Ibracevic has secured the exclusive signing of three new sports academies, a retail brand partnership with GNC, and multiple corporate leisure agreements for both Natural Elements, and the Le Meridien Dubai Hotel property, including its 16 F&B venues targeting a new audience demographic.
