Qatar Stocks Index Approaches 14,000 Points Mark

Qatar Stock Exchange index Tuesday approached the threshold of 14,000 points when it closed trading at 13,906.56 points, up 40.67 points (+0.29%).
The trading value reached QR 734.51 Million with a volume of 13,677,164 shares changing hands from 7,165 transactions today.
The market capitalisation reached QR 738.333 Billion today.
From the 43 listed companies, shares of 41 saw trading. From these 18 advanced and 18 declined with five remaining unchanged.
Banking and finance, and telecom companies’ index increased 17.89 (0.53%) and 28.66 points (1.81%) respectively today. Industries went up slightly by 8.39 points (0.18%).
Islamic Holding Group share picked up QR 3.30 today, up 3.53% when it closed at QR 96.70. Multi-national telecom operator Ooredoo share jumped 2.68% when it closed at QR 126.50, a gain of QR 3.30.
Doha Insurance share dropped QR 1 (-3.12%) when it closed at QR 31 today. National Cement Company went down QR 3.50 (-2.37%) when it closed at QR 144.
