The Emirates Identity Authority (EIDA) reported that the technical glitch, which disrupted its electronic system yesterday nationwide, would be restored today.

It added that the glitch that disrupted the EIDA website and accredited typing offices throughout yesterday was detected, expecting that the service would resume today.

The EIDA apologised to the clients affected by the disruption, noting that it has taken immediate action to ensure the rights of customers affected by the disruption by not charging them any fees that were prompted by the delay from Sunday morning, August 3rd to Thursday evening, 7th August, 2014.
