Qatar Exchange Index Closes Lower

Qatar Exchange index closed lower Sunday, down by 129.07 points (-0.97%) to 13,155.58 points.
The trading value at close was QR 720.098 Million with a traded volume of 18,886.237 shares from 7,830 transactions.
Today 34 companies ended in the red zone, seven advanced and one remained unchanged.
Banks and financial services index went down by 35.07 points (-1.10%) to close at 3,155.36 points. All banks ended in the red zone today.
Consumer goods and services index declined by 127.45 points (-1.78%) when it closed at 7,013.78 points.
The real estate sector index was the only one in the green zone today, marginally up by 18.49 points (0.64%) to 2,927.05 points.
The bourse’s Al Rayan Islamic index declined by 48.13 points (-1.08%) to 4,426.01 points.
Qatari individual investors bought a volume of 12,165,737 shares of 42 companies worth QR 434.435 Million (60.33%).
Qatari individual investors sold a volume of 12,242,882 shares of 41 companies worth QR 442.944 Million (61.51%).
Qatari institutional investors bought a volume of 2,140,338 shares of 34 companies worth QR 92.745 Million (12.88%).
Qatari institutional investors sold a volume of 2,592,703 shares of 26 companies worth QR 116.584 Million (16.19%).
