Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank (ADIB) has expanded its branch network with the opening of its 80th branch in the U.A.E., in the Shahama area in west Abu Dhabi. This brings the number of ADIB branches in this area of Abu Dhabi to 17. As with all of ADIB’s branches, the facility offers customers the full range of retail and commercial services and further strengthens ADIB’s position as one of the largest growing retail banks in the U.A.E..

ADIB has already expanded its branch network by opening 3 new branches in 2014 so far. The bank is committed to making its services as accessible as possible for its growing customer base in the U.A.E. of 600,000 customers. This includes launching a mobile app which lets customers complete banking transactions such as balance checks, local and international payments, checking card statements, payment of utility bills and applying for car, home and personal financing.

“We are aware that having close access to a branch is important for our customers, as well as the online and mobile services we offer for their banking needs,” said Philip King, U.A.E. Head of Retail. “We continually look for new and innovative ways to serve our growing customer base as well as ensuring our existing services remain accessible to all our customers.” ADIB has the third largest retail network in the U.A.E., with a total of 80 branches and more than 600 ATMs. The bank was recently named best Islamic Bank in the Middle East and best Islamic Bank in the U.A.E. by Euromoney magazine, and the award was recognition of the bank’s focus on customer service making it the number one bank in customer services in the U.A.E..
