Dubai benchmark stock index soars 7.92%

 The Dubai benchmark stock index, DFMGI, on Wednesday soared 7.92% to close at 4389.94 points.

Shares of 29 companies went up at DFM led by heavyweight Arabtec Holding, while only two companies ended the day’s trade in the red.

Shares of Arabtec soared 14.93% to AED 3.31 making the Dubai-based construction major the heaviest traded stock today by value through the trade of AED 865.5 million.

Arabtec shares surged near DFM’s daily upside limit of 15 per cent in intra-day trade.
