Mashreq Bank , one of the U.A.E.’s leading financial institutions, on Wednesday launched the world’s first online and international mobile top-up and bill payment service, another quick and hassle free payment facility for consumers.

Mashreq Bank says this new initiative allows customers to instantly top-up mobile credit to their family, friends and loved ones in 103 countries from Mashreq ‘s dedicated online platform, MashreqOnline and Snapp mobile app. It takes only a minute now to securely pay a bill back home.

U.A.E. is one of the largest source markets that send credit overseas. A very commonly used functionality on MashreqOnline is mobile top-up, with 37% of our customers using the facility to credit their mobile phones. This new service will provide greater security and convenience for Mashreq customers to top-up mobile phones from over 228 phone operators worldwide.

Aref Al Ramli, Head of electronic business and innovation at Mashreq said, “We are pleased to take the lead as a service innovator in the region to offer this unique, value added service. Mashreq is committed to taking technology enabled services to all our consumers to facilitate them to save their precious time and money. U.A.E. is one of the biggest source markets from which customers send credit and the new service will enable customers to instantly credit mobiles worldwide. Indian nationals can additionally pay utility bills such as electricity, gas and TV. It is free, fast and convenient. This is a service only available in India right now and we look forward to make it available in other countries.”
