The parliamentary panel, in charge of investigating irregularities in Northern Al-Zour power station-First phase, adjourned voting on the final report to next week.
Almost all committee members approve the content of the 42-page report, but final voting was postponed next Wednesday or Thursday, said the panel’s Head MP Abdul Hamid Dashti, adding that the report would on the parliament’s agenda for next week.
He stressed that the report will be made public in transparent way and a press conference could be held to brief the public about its content. Referring the report to the Public Prosecution is one of the options but this depends on the deliberations and voting in the parliament’s general session.
