Five million ticket requests were received for the FIFA World Cup 2026 within the first 24 hours of the Random Selection Draw ticketing phase for the tournament, which will be co‑hosted by the United States, Mexico, and Canada, FIFA announced in a statement Saturday.

The statement added that demand for tickets reached extraordinary levels, with fans from more than 200 countries and territories around the world submitting applications to be part of the first-ever 48-team World Cup.

FIFA noted that the highest number of ticket requests came from the three host nations, the United States, Mexico, and Canada, followed by Colombia, England, Ecuador, Brazil, Argentina, Scotland, Germany, Australia, France, and Panama among the top countries of residence for ticket applicants.

Among the group-stage matches with the most demand were Colombia vs. Portugal in Miami (Jun 27, 2026), Brazil vs. Morocco (New York/New Jersey, Jun 13), Mexico vs. Korea Republic (Guadalajara, Jun18), Ecuador vs. Germany (New York/New Jersey, Jun 25), and Scotland vs. Brazil (Miami, Jun 24).

The Random Selection Draw ticketing phase opened on Dec.11 and will remain open through Jan13, 2026, giving fans the opportunity to apply for single-match tickets based on matchups, ticket categories, and quantities, with successful applicants being notified and charged automatically later in the process.
