Saudi Arabia has officially qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup after playing out a goalless draw with Iraq in a tightly contested match on Tuesday night at King Abdullah Sports City Stadium in Jeddah. The result guarantees the team a place in world football’s biggest stage for the seventh time in their history.

A capacity crowd of over 60,000 fans turned the stadium into a sea of green, creating a festive and passionate atmosphere that mirrored the significance of the occasion. Chants, cheers, and flag-waving marked a night that celebrated not just a qualification, but a statement of intent by a team growing in cohesion and confidence.

This achievement marks another milestone in Saudi football’s ongoing development, aligning with the Kingdom’s broader investment in sports and global engagement.

With qualification now secured, the national team will turn its attention to preparation and fine-tuning ahead of the 2026 tournament.
