In his remarks, His Excellency Ali Salem Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Family Development Foundation, described the Union Pledge Day to be more than just a national event and a symbolic expression of renewed dedication to our wise leadership, led by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. With steadfast resolve and a strong belief that the Union is the foundation of our strength, unity, and future, it is a reaffirmation of our determination to carry on the path laid out by our founding fathers. Guided by His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan’s vision, the UAE continues on a path towards empowerment, inspired by the enduring legacy of its founders, while firmly believing that safeguarding the Union’s achievements is a shared responsibility that requires active participation from all segments of the society.
On the occasion of Union Pledge Day, His Excellency stated, “This day honours the noble sacrifices made by the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and our fellow founding fathers, who established the Union, laid down the principles of leadership, unity, and cohesion, as well as gave their all to build a nation that is respected globally and serves as source of pride for its citizens.”
