Avani+ Palm View Dubai proudly announces the appointment of Luca Domenico Depalo as its new Head Chef. Bringing over three decades of international culinary experience across Italy, Switzerland, the UK, the Maldives, and the UAE, Luca is poised to redefine the dining experience at the popular hotel at the entrance to Palm Jumeirah, overseeing La Sirene, Seven Seeds, The Pantry, In-room dining and Aqua.
Hailing from Italy, Luca gained his Chef Diploma from the prestigious Hotel and Catering School in Locarno, Switzerland. He spent more than 14 years in top UK restaurants, developing solid skills in Italian, French, Asian, Peruvian and fusion cuisines. His diverse approach aligns perfectly with Avani’s fresh and dynamic culinary ethos.
Over the past three years as Head Chef at Bull & Bear, Waldorf Astoria DIFC, Luca earned impressive accolades including Caterer Middle East’s Head Chef of the Year 2022, and multiple awards from Gault & Millau UAE, BBC Good Food, and Time Out Dubai. His record reflects an exceptional ability to craft menus that are remarkable and known for their innovative flavours.
