Dubai Design Week, the region’s leading design festival, will celebrate its 10th edition from 5th to 10th November, 2024, under the patronage of H.H. Sheikha Latifa bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Chairperson of Dubai Culture.

The festival is set to feature an outstanding programme of new commissions, exhibitions, and events.

Held in strategic partnership with Dubai Design District (d3), part of TECOM Group PJSC, and supported by Dubai Culture, this year’s edition will reflect on a decade of design and its influence on the UAE and GCC’s growing interior design and furniture markets, now collectively estimated at US$26 billion.

Dubai Design Week 2024 will celebrate the local community, creative talent, and regional design it has nurtured over the past decade, while marking the city’s rise as a global design hub.

The festival will bring together over 500 designers and brands from more than 40 countries to showcase new design ideas through installations, exhibitions, and experiential displays.

Khadija Al Bastaki, Senior Vice President of d3, part of TECOM Group, said, “Creative industries fuel the economy while shaping identity and culture. Dubai’s focus on nurturing creative communities has led to a rich, multicultural design narrative that reflects the Emirate’s ambitions. Dubai Design Week has played a crucial role in this over the past decade, providing a platform that promotes local and international talent while addressing global design themes like diversity, sustainability, and belonging. We look forward to welcoming stakeholders to this year’s programme, which includes the debut of ‘Editions’, in strategic partnership with d3, shaping the future of Dubai’s creative economy.”

Natasha Carella, Director of Dubai Design Week, commented, “As we mark the 10th edition, we look forward to gathering designers from around the world to exchange ideas and highlight the positive impact of design. This year’s programme will focus on sustainable practices, vernacular architecture from the region and the wider global south, showcasing how creativity can address modern challenges and shape our common future.”

Dr. Saeed Mubarak bin Kharbash, CEO of the Arts and Literature Sector at Dubai Culture, stated, “Design plays a key role in advancing innovation and shaping new possibilities locally, regionally, and globally. As a UNESCO City of Design, Dubai is committed to fostering an educational ecosystem that promotes fresh ideas and creativity. Our continued support for Dubai Design Week is part of our responsibility to the cultural and creative industries in the emirate, reinforcing Dubai’s position as a global cultural centre, a hub for creativity, and a thriving space for talent.”
