Al Kaabi: The wise leadership has laid the foundation for a strong strategy to empower women in the UAE.

H.E. Ali Salem Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Family Development Foundation, said: “The celebration of International Women’s Day aligns with the remarkable accomplishments and milestones achieved by Emirati women in leadership roles, spanning crucial sectors and ministerial portfolios. They hold seats in the Federal National Council and actively contribute to the functioning of state institutions alongside their male counterparts. This has positioned them as influential and reliable partners in the ongoing development and sustainability of these institutions.”

His Excellency commended the wise leadership for its robust strategy to empower Emirati women, acknowledging their invaluable societal contributions and pivotal role in the UAE’s progress. This unwavering support has nurtured the development of women and cultivated a sense of responsibility towards the nation. As a result, women have attained a significant position in our country’s rich history, spanning from its establishment to its present stature as a beacon of progress and growth.

Al Kaabi expressed admiration for the outstanding accomplishments of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak (The Mother of the Nation), Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union (GWU), President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, and Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation (FDF), “Her Highness’s efforts in promoting gender balance have significantly advanced the UAE’s global competitiveness. Under the patronage of Her Highness, Emirati women have flourished across various developmental fields, bolstering the country’s growth and economic prosperity, ultimately contributing to its resurgence.”

Reiterating the Family Development Foundation’s unwavering commitment to empowering Emirati

women, His Excellency said: “Aligned with the vision and directives of Her Highness Sheikha Fatima

bint Mubarak (The Mother of the Nation), we are pleased with the progress we have achieved in this crucial endeavor, aimed at fostering opportunities for Emirati women, amplifying their roles, and leveraging their talents. Our emphasis lies in crafting initiatives that empower women, tackling the challenges they face, and facilitating their meaningful participation in sustainable development efforts and strategies, all geared towards serving their community and nation across various fields like never before.”
