Leading the team is General Manager Ramsey Saarany, who brings two decades of experience in premium hospitality and a passion for excellence across every element of the industry. Since beginning his career in 2004, Ramsey has earned a reputation as one of the most highly respected managers in the Middle East, with a proven record for outstanding leadership across several 5* properties in the region.
Siva Bhaskar Reddy steps into a new role as Director of Operations after an exceptional ten-year period with the Minor Hotels family. Since joining Desert Islands Resort & Spa by Anantara as an Executive Housekeeper in 2013, Siva has progressed quickly through vital roles as Front Office Manager at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort and Director of Rooms at Anantara Kalutara Resort before being recruited to the pre-opening management team at Anantara Mina Al Arab.
With a Bachelor of Commerce specialising in Finance from the University of Colombo, and almost 30 years of accounting experience, Ravindra Gamage will provide rigorous analysis and diligent planning as Director of Finance. A consummate professional, Ravindra has delivered unrivalled service to Anantara Hotels, Resorts and Spas for almost seven years, first at Desert Islands Resort by Anantara then at Anantara Al Jabal Al Akhdar Resort, before coming to Ras Al Khaimah.
At the head of human operations is Director of People and Culture Rudaina Sa’ad. Since 2016, Rudaina has helped to develop nurturing environments for formidable teams and individuals as Director of Human Resources at two of Qatar’s top performing resorts, before joining the pre-opening team at The Plaza Doha by Anantara in April 2022.
Director of Sales & Marketing, Sarah Hammond, is a highly successful commercial leader with an international track record for maximising opportunities for growth and driving revenue through outstanding marketing. Sarah’s career began in the UK in 1998 before taking her to the United Arab Emirates in 2016, where she has led teams at several well-known luxury hotel brands before joining Anantara Al Mina Al Arab earlier this year.
Working closely with the Director of Sales & Marketing is the Director of Revenue, Sergiy Maystrenko. After graduating in 2006, he pursued a career in hospitality where his reputation for problem-solving and superb analytical skills have made him an asset in finance for over 12 years. Sergiy joins the Anantara after spending a year as Director of Revenue at a neighbouring luxury property in the emirate.
Driving excellence across the resort’s catering operations, including a specialty Asian lagoon restaurant and Mediterranean beachfront restaurant, is Director of Food & Beverage, Andrew Vieira. A passionate and proficient manager, Andrew brings almost two decades of experience in some of the Middle East’s most prestigious properties and expertise across the entire hotel lifecycle from pre-opening to start-up, turnaround and growth.
Rui Sousa joins Anantara as Director of Engineering after an impressive career as Engineering Manager that has taken him from China to the UAE. Drawing on a wealth of knowledge and expertise gained from a decade of hospitality experience, Rui will oversee all engineering needs for the innovative Anantara Mina Al Arab which brings the first luxury overwater bungalows to Ras Al Khaimah.
