Dubai Customs achieves ISO 30414 certification, leading the Way in human capital excellence

Dubai Customs has earned ISO 30414 certification in human capital reporting standards. This achievement places it among the pioneering government bodies in Dubai to secure this prestigious certification, following a rigorous evaluation conducted by the International Organisation for Standardisation (ISO).

The accolade was awarded based on a comprehensive audit and assessment of 59 key performance indicators within the realm of human capital. These indicators encompass a wide spectrum, ranging from leadership and talent acquisition to corporate culture, health and safety, productivity, workforce turnover, as well as skills and capabilities.

Ahmed Mahboob Musabih, Director-General of Dubai Customs, CEO of Ports, Customs and Free Zone Corporation, received the ISO certification during his meeting with Engineer Nizar Bashaireh, CEO of Global Business Bureau. Mohammed Al Ghaffari, Executive Director, Human Resources, Finance and Administration Division, and Ahmed Abdul Salam Kazim, Director of Strategy and Corporate Excellence Department also attended this occasion, along with the dedicated project team.

Expressing his utmost delight, Ahmed Mahboob Musabih underscored the department’s consistent drive for success and its commitment to achieving ISO 30414 certification. This recognition firmly situates the department among the ranks of distinguished government entities that have met this exacting standard. He credited this accomplishment to the department’s strong foundations and strategic initiatives, which actively support advanced and efficient work environments.

The Director-General of Dubai Customs emphasised the government department’s unceasing efforts to enhance human capital development and its unwavering focus on human resources as the cornerstone for shaping the future. These efforts are fully aligned with the department’s strategic plan for 2021-2026, which is geared towards substantial investments in its human resources.

Mohammed Al Ghaffari commended the relentless efforts of Dubai Customs’ human resources division in streamlining procedures with unwavering integrity. This division remains ever-ready to confront the multifaceted challenges and dynamic changes that come its way. He also highlighted the division’s dedication to nurturing and upskilling its human resources, fostering an innovative work environment that not only boosts productivity but also ensures the sustainability of its workforce. He noted that this esteemed certification is the direct result of the integrated efforts of departmental teams, which have consistently contributed to bolstering the integrity of processes and operations.

Similarly, Samira Abdul Razzaq, Senior Manager of the Quality Assurance and Corporate Governance Section within the Strategy and Corporate Excellence Department, emphasised that Dubai Customs’ unrelenting pursuit of an enhanced work environment stems from its unwavering commitment to fortifying the capabilities of its human resources.

She affirmed that the Quality Assurance and Corporate Governance Section has played a significant role in augmenting the department’s reputation and leadership. This has been achieved by attaining excellence in applying international quality systems, notably the Internal and External Human Capital Reporting System based
