Tony Martin is currently the CEO of Al Bonian FM (ABFM) and has been in the region for a total of 15 years. Based in Dubai, UAE.
His responsibilities are what you would expect for this role within a SME/FM service provider. Fully responsible for the holistic delivery, operational/financial performance, award winning, continuing efficiency and improvement of the business, to then report this on a monthly basis to an Executive Committee and then Bi-Annual to the Shareholders.
Tony Martin does what it is you would expect of a CEO to do in a company such as Al Bonian FM. His role very much focuses on the ‘E’ of CEO. Al Bonian FM have a very flat corporate structure and don’t have the luxury of large BD departments, marketing or support. Therefore, he is by default very hands on and find himself involved at every level of the business, in all aspects especially work winning and contract mobilisation.
Al Bonian FM deliver IFM Solutions and specialised support MEP services. Directly managing all other service providers with a view to absorbing this and then taking in-house. This includes full refurbishment/fit-out if required. The business is diverse and serves many sectors, B2B, B2C and growing exponentially in delivering FM to the retail and hospitality sectors.
As part of Al Bonian FM’s innovation, improvement and development plan, Tony has considered in this year 2023 to build up a central dedicated Control Room for the operation and oversee of the contracts. The control room will have two (2) full-time Sr. Engineer (1-Electrical / 1-Mechanical).
These Engineers are then able to advise all technical issues at site level in live time. Tony has always been an advocate of efficiencies and synergies among the contracts. He often participates in the discussion and “brain-storming” in Operations where they identify efficiencies such as conservation of energy, sustainability and increase productivity that would benefit both parties (Al Bonian FM and the Client).
In 2022, Tony Martin, the CEO of Al Bonian FM, received personal recognition on four separate occasions, earning individual awards from various professional groups and the FM industry as a whole. These prestigious awards include the Industry Personality of The Year, FM Executive of the Year, CEO of the Year FM Category (from multiple award ceremonies), and Client-Contractor Partnership Award. These accolades highlight Tony Martin’s exceptional contributions and leadership in the field of facility management. Furthermore, Al Bonian FM as a company has also received noteworthy recognition, including being a runner-up in the Partnership Awards FM Category and consistently ranking in the FM Power List published by FMME and CBNME. In the 2022 FM Power List by CBNME, Al Bonian FM secured the 14th place.
