  • How would you describe your journey in the eyeglasses industry?

It’s safe to say that eyewear runs in our DNA. My family has a long history in the eyewear industry, dating back several years. In fact, my father worked in this industry, and my siblings are also currently working in the same field.

  • Describe VISION INDUSTRY, in a nutshell. What sets it apart from the competition?

VISION INDUSTRY is an experiential optical store with the mission of elevating the perception of eyewear as an object.

Our company distinguishes itself from the competition in a variety of ways, including our great eyewear selection, cutting-edge technology in our eye-testing rooms, the one-of-a-kind eyewear museum, and our design studio that develops bespoke frames. The one feature that genuinely distinguishes us is the unrivalled in-store experience that we deliver.

  • How do you strike a balance between optical glasses and sunglasses? Which camp dominates?

Our mission is to make people “Look Good and See Well” whether they wear optical glasses or sunglasses.

Because of the temperature in the Gulf region, sunglasses may dominate the market, but it is the optical side of our sector that provides the biggest challenges. This industry requires a greater degree of ability, knowledge, and competency, making it the most intriguing and engaging portion of our company.

Our mission is to set the industry standard by providing the most recent sunglass brands and utilising the most advanced eye-care technology available.

  • What else characterizes the product in terms of both aesthetics and quality?

Eyewear is a multi-faceted product that embodies various aspects, including design, fashion, craftsmanship, and medical functionality. While aesthetics plays a crucial role in the customer’s decision-making process, quality remains the top priority. A quality eyewear product must not only be visually appealing, but also ensure comfort, protection, durability, and exceptional vision. It should enhance the wearer’s features and provide them with an exceptional visual experience which is what we have prioritised with all our products.

  • What’s the theme/inspiration behind your latest collections? Which are the most popular eyewear brands in the region?

At the moment, our collection does not include a VISION INDUSTRY line. However, we offer a wide range of eyewear options with over 65 brands ranging from Luxury to Fashion and from Urban to independent creators. Moreover, we specialise in crafting customized eyewear in-store, tailored to the customer’s specific preferences on design, colour, finishing, and fitting. It’s like having a bespoke suit, but for your face.

  • Tell us about your stores and offline retail plans.

Our flagship store in Mall of Emirates is the pioneer of the VISION INDUSTRY concept in the region. We are actively exploring opportunities to expand our presence within and beyond the GCC region, fueled by our passion to share our unique eyewear experience with more customers.

  • Apart from adults, the brand also caters to children, as well as hi-tech and sports products. Could you also tell more about this segment?

Our mission is to create a world where everyone can look good and see well, regardless of their age or vision needs. We take pride in providing a diverse selection of eyewear, including dedicated areas for kids and sport/hi-tech products. Unlike other retailers who may overlook these categories, we believe in educating parents on the importance of eye-health for their children and offering products that enhance performance and aesthetics for all sports and gaming activities.

  • How important is personalisation and after-sales service in your business for brand success?

After-sales service is critical for both success and survival in the eyewear market. Customers expect impeccable service both during and after the sale, and personaliSation has grown in importance, particularly among younger generations accustomed to individualised experiences.

At VISION INDUSTRY, we take customisation to the next level by designing and crafting eyewear on the spot, in collaboration with our customers, ensuring a perfect fit and unparalleled level of personalisation. It’s a beautiful and unique experience that sets us apart from competitors.

  • Any other news in the pipeline?

The remarkable enthusiasm displayed by customers within the first few weeks since the opening indicates that there are tremendous opportunities for growth and expansion in the future.
