Azizi Developments, a leading private developer in the UAE, has sponsored the Dubai World Cup Carnival, now for the sixth consecutive year. With its master-planned community presence in MBR City, and its dedication to bringing communities together and supporting high-level international events in the UAE, Azizi Developments has made Dubai Racing Club one of its time-honoured pillar partners.

Mr Mirwais Azizi, Founder and Chairman of Azizi Developments; Mr Farhad Azizi, CEO of Azizi Developments; and the firm’s senior management presented winners of the seven races with their trophies and prizes.

In his comments, Mr Mirwais Azizi said: “We are thrilled to sponsor another sensational Dubai World Cup Carnival event. It brings us tremendous joy to see the UAE continue to serve as the ideal host for such monumental gatherings that bring people together to celebrate a sport that is so deeply rooted in the nation’s culture and heritage. Continuing to catalyse Dubai in its growth and development is a privilege, not only through developing world-class lifestyle properties but also by supporting events of such high importance, that strengthen the city’s position as a global hub for business and tourism.”

This year’s Dubai World Cup Carnival Race Meet, held on January 13th, was worth a combined $750,000 in prize money across its seven races. The event runs annually from January to March and is a season of high-class international race days, championed by the most successful, high-profile owners, trainers, jockeys and horses in the world. It runs alongside the domestic Racing at Meydan season and paves the way for the Dubai World Cup.

Riviera, Azizi Developments’ master-planned community in MBR City, near the upcoming Meydan One Mall and the Meydan Grandstand – home of the Dubai World Cup, is part of the developer’s award-winning portfolio. It is a stylish waterfront-lifestyle destination that is planned to comprise 75 mid and high-rise buildings with approximately 16,000 residences upon its completion, conveniently located in the midst of all the business, leisure, and retail hubs of the city.

Designed to introduce the French-Mediterranean lifestyle to Dubai, which is not merely about architectural art but also about a certain ‘joie de vivre’ — a celebration of life, an exultation of spirit — Riviera represents a new landmark destination that is both residential and commercial, with an abundance of retail space. Riviera features three districts: an extensive retail boulevard, a lagoon walk with artisan eateries and boutiques, and Les Jardins — a vast, lush-green social space.

Azizi Developments is adding a 2.7-kilometre-long crystal lagoon to Riviera, covering an area of over 130,026 square metres that will stretch across the entirety of the community. With stunning blue flooring, filled with more than 51.5 million gallons of crystal-clear, desalinated and clean water that residents can swim in, and easily accessible via its lagoon walk — which will also feature a vast variety of artisan eateries and boutiques — Azizi’s lagoon will be a bustling space where residents can enjoy strolls along the beach-like shores, sunbathe and cool off.

Azizi Developments’ Sales Gallery can be visited on the 13th floor of the Conrad Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road.
