Project Qatar 2014

Under the Auspices of HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah binNasser Bin Khalifa Al Thani, the 11th International Construction Technology and Building Materials Exhibition (Project Qatar 2014) will open its doors on Sunday.
The four-day event is Qatar’s largest construction gathering of the year, representing the remarkable construction sector growth being witnessed in Qatar. Featuring over 2,100 exhibitors and 24 international pavilions, with an anticipated 45,000+ professional visitors from 130 countries, Project Qatar 2014 takes place at the Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC), from 12 – 15 May.
Project Manager of Project Qatar Rawad Sleem said: “I am delighted to welcome all of our distinguished guests to Project Qatar 2014. Every year, the Project Qatar audience becomes more diverse with practitioners from all construction disciplines coming from all over the world. The Qatar construction market is at the heart of the global construction industry with more than $200bn in the pipeline for infrastructure ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup. As a natural gateway to the GCC countries, this presents significant opportunity for the local, regional and international markets to conduct business across a variety of sectors. Following a successful decade in Qatar, Project Qatar 2014 witnessed unparalleled global interest and support for its 11th edition, being fully booked in less than 3 months after the launching date of the sales effort with a large number of new global exhibitors and countries taking part, and we extend a very warm welcome to our newcomers this year – Indonesia, Palestine and Romania. We are excited to open our doors tomorrow at the QNCC, a new venue for Project Qatar 2014.”
General Manager of IFP Qatar and Organizer of Project Qatar, George Ayache said: “This is our 11th year of Project Qatar and we have invested significantly this year in understanding and developing an event that will provide added value for our exhibitors and visitors. Project Qatar 2014 will mark a significant evolution in terms of added value content, demonstrations and the diversity of the sectors showcased by the exhibitors. We wish everyone participating in this year’s event a successful and prosperous experience.” Project Qatar 2014 also includes two concurrent events – “Qatar StoneTech”, The 3rd International Stone & Stone Technology Show and “Heavy Max 2014”, The 11th International Exhibition for Heavy Machinery, as well as hosting a new educational platform, the Project Qatar Conference Series, organized by Advanced Conferences & Meetings(ACM), that will include: “LightingTech Qatar” on 12 – 13 May, , and “HVACTech Qatar” on 14 – 15 May, and “Future Interiors Qatar”, scheduled for 8 and 9 September.
