Emirates has been named “Airline of the Year 2022” in Bangladesh, clinching the top award in Monitor Airline of the Year for the third year in a row.
Emirates received five gold and four silver awards in the award program, which was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh, to recognize its award-winning products and services.
The winners were chosen based on a frequent flyer opinion poll conducted in Bangladesh from April to June of this year.
In the presence of more than 200 guests, including government dignitaries, diplomatic missions, airlines, leading travel companies, and media, the prizes were handed by Mahbub Ali MP, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism.
Emirates was named Airline of the Year, Best Business Class, Best In-Flight Meal in Business Class, Best In-Flight Entertainment, and Best Long-Haul Airline, all with gold awards. Silver honors were also given to the airline for Best Economy Class, Best In-Flight Meal in Economy Class, Most Favorite Frequent Flyer Program, and Cargo Airline of the Year.
Based on frequent flyer polls, the award program recognizes the finest airlines in several service areas. More than 2,000 regular travellers voted this year, grading their travel experiences in 13 categories.
Since 1986, Emirates has provided award-winning passenger and cargo services to Bangladesh. Dhaka became Emirates’ seventh destination just one year after the airline’s creation, with Bangladesh becoming the airline’s sixth country, excluding its hub in Dubai, to be added to its worldwide network.
The airline now connects Dhaka and Dubai with 21 weekly flights, providing access to over 130 destinations across six continents, and is the only carrier to offer a First Class service to and from Dhaka
