Dubai’s Most Authentic Oktoberfest Set To Kick-Off At Ernst

Couldn’t make it to Deutschland this year for Oktoberfest? Don’t worry – Dubai’s very own ERNST is putting on the most traditional Bavarian Oktoberfest, starting on the 17th September until 23rd October! Every Friday, Saturday and Sunday for a whole month, guests will be treated to a cultural event unlike anything Dubai has seen before – get those Lederhosn and Dirndls ready!

The massive venue is pulling out all the stops to ensure every guest has an unforgettable experience, whether it’s their first or fiftieth Oktoberfest. With over 400 seats, a private dining room, and a large outdoor space, everyone has a place at ERNST to indulge to their heart’s content in traditional German hops, food, and entertainment.

Throughout the week during the month-long event, guests can take advantage of generous drinks packages, allowing them to drink as much draught beer, house wine, house sparkling and house spirits as they like for two hours, priced at AED250 per person. No one leaves hungry, as patrons get one bratwurst in a bun and one fresh pretzel with purchase of the package. The offer is available to redeem from Thursdays to Saturdays, 7pm till 9pm AND 9pm till 11pm; and on Sundays from 12pm till 2pm and 2pm till 4pm.

Immediately upon entry, guests will feel like they have stepped into a German wonderland, with botanical floral arrangements sprinkled around the venue to resemble a garden. Those wanting the perfect German snap can dress up in the complimentary Lederhosn and Drindls and sit pretty on the swing outside, decked out in gorgeous blooms. Patrons will also find little Bavarian trinkets and items, sponsored by German ale brand Paulaner, blended into the décor ranging from traditional Bavarian clothing and accessories to coasters and beer passports. A live stream of the Oktoberfest from Munich will be displayed on the numerous TVs dotted around ERNST, transporting visitors to the beer gardens of Bavaria.

Serving a specially curated menu, made by two German chefs, ERNST promises a thoroughly German experience for all. Dishes on the limited-edition menu include Schweinsbraten (roasted pork neck), Geschmorte Rindsbackerl (braised beef cheeks with red cabbage, bread dumplings and veal gravy), Oktoberfest Brettl (a special Oktoberfest charcuterie board, good to share among four people), Bratwurst in a bun (veal sausage and served with sauerkraut with selected condiments).

Diners can pair it with specially brewed and imported Paulaner beer of choice (yes, there’s more than one!) – Oktoberfest Edition Paulaner on draught; freshly-produced Paulaner in 30 litre wooden barrels (for diners in the private dining room, groups of 20 or more, or those who purchase the premium brunch package); Kirsch (traditional Bavarian digestif, made in-house at ERNST); pear schnapps (brandy infused with pears and cinnamon for 30 days).

The dancefloor lovers can bust out their moves along to a soundtrack from two Oktoberfest bands flying in directly from Germany. The stage will be dominated by multiple homegrown talent for the whole Oktoberfest month at ERNST, where they will belt out hits, guaranteed to get the guests moving and grooving along.

In the outdoor patio, ERNST’s diners will be pulled into the German marketplace, made up of four distinct stalls, offering a range of Bavarian goodies for all. Guests can fuel up on delicious Paulaner beer from two stalls in the market, while satiating their appetites with juicy veal sausages, and fresh pretzels and breads served at the remaining stalls. With direct service from the bars situated outside – just like how they do in Germany – guests need not leave their seat to replenish their steins (or other drinks of choice). Those wanting to take a token home can purchase an array of branded items from the retail shop outside, such as branded clothing, accessories and more.

Throughout the event, visitors of ERNST can soak up the welcoming atmosphere, take in the sparkling views of Burj Khalifa, all whilst feeling like they are in Germany! Meet old friends and make new ones alike, nobody does Oktoberfest like ERNST!
