Irfan Tansel, the CEO of Al Masaood Automobiles, was crowned ‘Visionary of the Year’ at the 2021 Enterprise Agility Awards – Entrepreneur of the Year. The award ceremony was held at Sofitel the Palm, Dubai on December 15, 2021.
He was honoured for his forward-looking leadership at Al Masaood Automobiles, the exclusive distributor for Nissan, INFINITI, and Renault in Abu Dhabi, Al Ain, and the Western region. He was praised for focusing on seizing opportunities and turning ideas into a reality and was also cited for his unique approach to innovation, employee engagement and the present challenging market situation. His strategy positively impacts not only the organisation he heads but also the local automotive industry.
Tansel said: “I adhere to leadership ethos that emphasises sincerity, hard work, empathy, commitment and support for each member of our team to thrive and grow. These values are fundamental to our success as an organisation. Complementing them are our consistent endeavours to hire the best and most talented people in the industry. The ‘Visionary of the Year’ prize was the latest in a string of honours given to the CEO. He was named one of Forbes’ ‘Top 100 CEOs in the Middle East 2021’ and ‘100 inspiring leaders in the Middle East’ by Arabian Business magazine. The CEO Magazine also named Tansel as the ‘CEO of the Year’ in 2018.
This year’s Enterprise Agility Awards – Entrepreneur of the Year of BNC Publishing honoured businesses and individuals for being industry innovators in their respective sectors and helping advance the region through their contributions.
Tansel, who has transformed Al Masaood Automobiles by introducing new revenue streams and right-sizing measures. Under his leadership, the company was commended for creating an omnichannel experience, driving innovation as part of its preparations for Industry 4.0 and surpassing its targets despite unprecedented market conditions. He also spearheaded the establishment of ‘Project Falcon’ to empower his teams in Abu Dhabi and the Western area, as well as the implementation of the company’s agile customer-centric strategy.
