Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk collaborates with renowned jeweller to launch afternoon tea

With a plethora of special occasions just around the corner, from Valentine’s Day and Women’s Day to Mother’s Day, Sofitel Dubai The Obelisk‘s Bijou Patisserie has launched Bijou de Perles in collaboration with jeweler Robert Wan.

Starting from February 11, Bijou Patisserie introduces an exclusive collaboration with Robert Wan, the world-famous jeweller, designer and producer of Pearls. Having dedicated his life to the Tahitian-cultured pearl, Robert Wan is the industry’s pioneer and the world’s largest single producer and exporter of the French Polynesian gem.

With Bijou meaning jewel in French, and the UAE’s centuries-old heritage and relationship with pearls – considered by many to be among the finest gems in the world – the Bijou de Perles with Robert Wan collaboration brings forward a fusion of cultures and flavours.

Presented in a sophisticated jewelry box, Bijou de Perles with Robert Wan offers a French twist on afternoon tea, with savoury and sweet choux pastry bites created with passion by Executive Pastry Chef Romain Castet.

The menu combines local flavours with classic French heritage and sweet temptations with Tahitian vanilla, mango passion and saffron cream, raspberry with yuzy and chocolate Macao with hazelnut. Complementing this experience is an extraordinary display of edible chocolate pearls on a bust offering a real feast to the eyes.

Guests dining can choose their own Robert Wan pearl bracelet through a quick personality test, adorned with a shimmering pearl.

Bijou de Perles with Robert Wan will be available daily from 2pm to 6pm at Bijou Patisserie from February 11th, 2021, all the way through to Ramadan and is priced at AED 145 per person including tea and coffee, and AED 660 per person including an exclusive Robert Wan Pearl bracelet.
