HostMilano and TUTTOFOOD, in collaboration with the Emirates Culinary Guild, Dubai Restaurants Group and Italian Business Council, has launched a contest to find the best risotto in town.
‘The Risotto Quest’, a culinary contest among the top chefs of Dubai’s restaurants and hotels, is seeking to identify the best risotto in town. Entrants are judged in two categories: Classic Risotto and Innovative Risotto.
Leading figures of the city’s F&B and hospitality sectors are participating, including the chefs of Emirates’ First-Class Lounge, BiCe Ristorante, Sapori, Bice Mare, and Eataly, among others.
Taking place until November 3, for the first phase of the competition, the Emirates Culinary Guild will use their YouTube channel to publish videos detailing the preparation of the Risotto dishes, shot by the participating chefs.
Four finalists, two for the Classic Risotto and two for the Innovative Risotto, will be chosen based on the votes received on the videos from the general public, alongside the ballots of three chefs from the Emirates Culinary Guild.
Both the general public and specialised culinary community are encouraged to participate in the Quest by casting their vote.
The second phase is the final one, taking place on November 25, when the four finalist chefs will prepare their risotto dishes at their own premises and receive a visit from the jury to taste them. The jury includes representatives from the Dubai Restaurants Group, Italian Business Council, Emirates Culinary Guild and culinary experts.
