Kleindienst Group, developer of The Heart of Europe – the US$5 billion (AED 18.3 billion) master-planned leisure tourism island destination – announced the completion of the elevations of the four hotels resort, Côte d’Azur, paving the way for walls, finishing and interiors works for the 893-key facility to be ready for local, regional and international tourists in the fourth quarter of 2020.
When complete, Côte d’Azur will offer 796 standard suites, 4 Super Deluxe suites, 61 Suite rooms and 32 Star suites. The five-star beachfront resort incorporates key features of the French Riviera’s architecture, design and lifestyle.
Being built on a plot of 43,442 square metres, Côte d’Azur comprises four boutique hotels – Monaco, Nice, Cannes and St. Tropez – each named after the most famous and picturesque resort cities along the French Riviera and offering European hospitality and culture in Dubai. Contractors have also completed the topping out of St. Tropez, the fourth hotel of the resort cluster.
The four distinct hotels will offer around 220 keys each with beach access and views over the swimming pool and/or the sea.
With elevations of the four hotels now complete, construction workers are now putting together walls, doors and windows that will trigger the finishing, painting and interiors works. Facades are being painted in Monaco and Nice in vibrant colour schemes, a combination of various hues of red and green.
“The completion of the elevation works and topping out of the four hotels mark an important milestone in the development of the Heart of Europe Island and our strong commitment to deliver the project by the end of the year, despite the current economic slowdown caused by the COVID-19 pandemic,” says Josef Kleindienst, Chairman of Kleindienst Group, says.
The resort will offer an array of indoor and outdoor facilities such as entertainment areas and a games room (billiards, table tennis, bowling hall), fitness and gym facilities, spas, beach cabanas and six Mediterranean dining options in addition to diving and snorkeling facilities.
Côte d’Azur is also located next to the climate-controlled Rainy Street covering 1 kilometre, where it will rain on command, whilst cooling down and maintaining an ambient temperature of 27 degrees Celsius as well as 5 kilometres per hour winds and 60 per cent humidity, in order to mirror the summer climate in southern Europe, making it a major tourist attraction when phase 1 of the project opens later this year.
