Dubai Opera has recently launched the From-Home-to-State talent competition, giving Dubai residents the change to perform on-stage at the Opera.

The first prize winner will be selected as an opening act for one of Dubai Opera’s major performers in the upcoming season. The second prize winner will have their own one-hour event that will be held at the Dubai Opera Studio.

With Dubai 360, the world’s largest and highest quality virtual tour programme, it has never been easier to experience some of the city’s history and heritage. The programme gives visitors access to a number of Dubai’s landmarks from anywhere in the world, including cascading rooftop views over the entire expanse of the city.

The website was launched back in 2014 by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai. It’s one of the world’s leading immersive virtual city tours, enabling users from around the world to visit Dubai from the comfort of their home using the latest technologies.

The virtual tour also takes you inside several cultural destinations, such as the Etihad Museum, Dubai Museum and Al Fahidi Fort.

For art lovers, Alserkal Avenue is now hosting online art prompts from its Instagram page every Saturday and Monday at 11am for an IGTV series, which sees art instructors give virtual demonstrations on how to create quick and easy artwork, using simple materials that can be found at home.
