SITA, the technology provider for the air transport industry, has reappointed three senior industry executives to the SITA Board at its Annual General Assembly held earlier this month.

Dr. Omar Jefri, who has more than 40 years of aviation management experience, was reappointed and confirmed as SITA Board Chair following the Annual General Assembly. Omar’s Board experience includes serving terms on SITA’s Remuneration Committee, Nomination Committee and the Governance Committee. He is also a Board Director for the Saudi Ground Services Company (SGS) and has served as a director on the boards of Flynas (formerly NAS Air) and Yemenia (Yemen Airways).

Elizabeth Haun, Chief Financial Officer and Board member of IAG Cargo, was also appointed to a further three-year term as a SITA Board Director, while A.T. (Srini) Srinivasan, an advisor on IT strategy and key initiatives reporting to Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive, rejoins the SITA Board as a Director.

Dr. Omar Jefri said: “At this time in our industry, stability will be fundamental to steering SITA through the next few years. The SITA business will be vital in providing solutions that help airlines and airports address the new requirements in the recovery phase of our industry. But SITA will also deliver key solutions to help the industry flourish in the long term, underpinning its ongoing efficient operations and the seamless journey.”
