Siemens will provide a building management system for Dubai Parks and Resorts, the Middle East‘s largest theme park destination, which opens next month.
Desigo CC Building Management System (BMS) will control the day-to-day operation of buildings across the venue, making it the first implementation of the technology in a Middle East theme park environment.
The technology brings together key building functions into one system, monitoring and controlling technical infrastructure at Motiongate, Legoland and Legoland Water Park as well Lapita Hotel.
It will optimise systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, lighting, fire alarms, water metering, room automation and energy management across multiple buildings.
A customized 3D graphical interface will display the status of these different systems in real time, enabling operators to monitor and control the performance of buildings across the large site from a single location.

“This project required a building management system which puts the customer in full control of their building and safety tasks. We were able to customise the technology to allow fast access to key data across multiple sites and disciplines, optimizing the operation and maintenance of an important new development.”
Global installations of Desigo CC have enabled reductions in building operating costs of up to 20 percent, and versions of the technology have been installed in Abu Dhabi’s Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Tornado Tower in Qatar, the 3D-printed ‘Office of the Future’ and the Atlantis Hotel in Dubai, and the Siemens Middle East headquarters building in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi.
