Dubai-based Eco Resort Group revealed Oasis Eco Resort, the world’s greenest resort, located in Liwa, UAE, on 1 March 2016.Oasis-Eco-Resort_Baharash-Architecture

The project will feature a spring in between the resort with rooms and functional areas placed around it. London-based Baharash Architecture were chosen as the architects on the project. Baharash Bagherian, founder of Baharash Architecture, said that they were able to extract groundwater using a deep well. “This gave us an opportunity to create a story around a spring, which was of critical importance to Bedouins for trade and transportation routes.”

The resort, scheduled to open in 2020, will include 84 interconnecting suites of various types, all of which provide amazing views and an outdoor terrace.

Environmental features include recycling waste water on site for irrigation, onsite waste management, the enforcement of a zero emission zone and 157,000sq.ft of solar panels.
