Qatar Participates in 17th Meeting of Gas Exporting Countries Forum

QNA_Sada_2112015The 17th Meeting of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) began today in the Iranian capital, Tehran.
Qatar’s delegation to the meeting is led by HE Minister of Energy and Industry Dr. Mohammed bin Saleh Al-Sada.
The meet was opened by Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh with participation of Ministers of the Member States and observers of the Forum.
The Forum includes in its membership each of Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Iran, Bolivia, Equatorial Guinea, Nigeria, Russia, Trinidad and Venezuela, as well as Iraq and Oman, the Netherlands, Norway, Kazakhstan and Peru as Observers.
The ministerial meeting comes in preparation for the Summit of the Member States of the Gas Forum to be held in the Iranian capital on Monday.
Qatar is scheduled to chair the 18th ministerial meeting in 2016.
