RTA_logoonly_1500_rgb_transThe Roads and Transport Authority, RTA, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Cisco to enhance joint cooperation. The MoU was signed by Abdullah Ali Al Madani, CEO of Corporate Technical Support Services Sector, and Rabee Dabboussi, General Manager of Cisco, on the sidelines of RTA’s participation in Gitex Technology Week.

Mr. Al Madani praised the MoU, calling it an important step towards boosting the partnership with a renowned ITC solutions provider at local, regional and international levels, which, he said, would help the RTA build effective partnerships, and deliver improved services. He pointed to the existing solid working relationship between the two entities whereby the RTA is using Cisco products and solutions in automating procedures and exchanging services.

Mr. Dabboussi said, “Cisco is committed to this MoU and offering the latest solutions to RTA, especially those related to improving mass transport services and implementing the best technological practices in support of RTA’s vision and methodology. In today’s era of the Internet of Things, IoT, technology is playing a key role in providing services that match current needs and expectations. Under the MoU, Cisco will aim to support RTA’s endeavours to fulfill the vision of Dubai Government in transforming Dubai into the smartest city in the world.”
