Khalifa Port Container Terminal (KPCT) has added a new service to its growing network list. Hyundai’s KMS service made its maiden call to Abu Dhabi’s main port recently with the arrival of the 6,800 TEU ‘Hyundai Bangkok’.

Hyundai Merchant Marine (HMM) has become the latest carrier to increase their services at KPCT by adding the KMS service which provides a weekly port rotation between Korea and Middle East Gulf. This service represents the 4th new service calling at KPCT since the start of the year and further increases the number of direct international destinations from Abu Dhabi providing more choice for import and export companies that have a GCC focus.

Simon Brebner, Abu Dhabi Terminals’ chief commercial officer commented: “The newly added KMS service links Korea and the Far East directly to major ports in the GCC and has one of the best transit times in the trade which benefits our customers tremendously.”

The KMS service rotation will be: Kwang Yang (South Korea), Busan, Ningbo, Kaohsiung, Yantian, Hong Kong, Singapore, Port Kelang, Jebel Ali, Khalifa Port, Bandar Abbas, Karachi, Singapore, Hong Kong, Kwang Yang.
