The Abu Dhabi-based European International College (EIC) has been named among the top three hospitality management schools in educational innovation in the world at the Worldwide Hospitality Awards, Paris.
EIC is home to students from the UAE and 50 other nationalities. Its college campus in Abu Dhabi consists of modern classrooms equipped with audio – visual aids that are wireless connected with the computer lab network.
EIC is preparing to celebrate the first group of alumni of its MBA programme. The college also offers besides a BBA programme accredited by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research in the UAE.
“We are extremely proud of this global achievement, which validates the EIC approach of applying international standards at every stage of our programmes. Our aim is to equip students with the skills and ethos that will enrich the tourism and hospitality sector,” said His Excellency Dr. Abdullah Bin Abdul Jalil Al Fahim, chairperson and founder of the college.
He also thanked Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority (ADTCA) for its continuous support and asked relevant bodies to realise the key role EIC can play in the future of hotels and tourism industry in the region.
Dr. Fahim, congratulated HE Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Culture, Youth and Social Development and the sponsor of the College, and HE Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for their unstinting support of the College since its inception.
Dr Al Fahim also congratulated the students and their families, whose sons and daughters are now qualified to join local and international work markets.
EIC was selected from among tens of colleges and universities specialising in hospitality management from around the world.
