Sharjah Ruler donates US$2m for Cairo University’s restoration works

H. H. Dr Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, has donated US$2 million for restoration work and installation of needed equipment at the building of Cairo University’s Faculty of Engineering which, was severely damaged by a fire during the dispersion of the sit-in in al-Nahda Square.

 This is one in a series of initiatives taken by H.H the Ruler of Sharjah in support of Egypt and its people during the current crisis.

 H.H Sheikh Sultan also gave orders for building mosques in the villages in North Sinai town of Rafah. Each of the said mosques will be named after one of the 25 Egyptian soldiers who were killed in a terrorist attack Monday morning.

 H.H the Ruler of Sharjah also gave directives for building modern houses for the residents of eighteen slums in Giza City. Upon completion, the ownership of the new houses will be transferred to the residents of the run-down areas.

 H.H Sheikh Sultan also directives for building public parks at the said areas in support to the improvement of the infrastructure, and to the provision of dignified living for the brotherly Egyptian people.
