In line with the continuous endeavor of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to transform Dubai into a ‘Smart City’, Dubai Culture & Arts Authority (Dubai Culture) is going ‘smart’ with its printing solutions.

The Emirate’s dedicated entity to promoting heritage, culture and the arts is optimizing its printing environment and streamlining its workflow efficiency by 20 % led by a 74% reduction of the equipment fleet and automated supplies order system using Managed Print Services (MPS) tools from Xerox Emirates, the market leader in Technology, Document Management and Consulting Services.

Xerox enterprise-class MPS solutions – consisting of 66 devices of two different models installed at the Dubai Culture’s premises have proved to enable cost savings with easy monitoring and control over the entire printing infrastructure in addition to enhanced document security.

By implementing the new Xerox MPS tools, Dubai Culture has successfully addressed a number of challenges that indirectly affected the overall workflow efficiency experienced previously. These printing management tools allow effective monitoring and control of the entire print system in the organization by providing a broad overview of who is printing, and what. This allows for quick tracking and monitoring of printing and copying expenditures making it an effective instrument in reducing wastage and costs.

“The new printers offer superior performance and print capabilities for different types of documents. As a result the printing process becomes more efficient, less expensive and helps manage service maintenance proactively. This in turn enables the IT team to devote more time on critical tasks and initiatives that serve the core activities of Dubai Culture. We are committed to achieving innovation solutions based on latest best practices in technical services. Our goal is to make these solutions available for all employees, with a focus on reducing operating costs, and to provide better services for customers and raise customer specification and happiness,”said Mohamed Yousif Al-Hammadi, Infrastructure and Technical Support Manager, Dubai Culture.
