Noor Trade, the Sharia-compliant banking service offered by Noor Bank to small and medium enterprises, has been announced as the Official Banking Partner for 2015 Gulfood. The partnership makes Noor Trade the official bank for the event, taking place from 8th to 12th February.
Usman Khakwani, Head of Business Banking, Noor Trade, said, “Gulfood has played an essential role in opening distribution channels for industry related business from overseas. Our aim is to generate increased awareness of the Noor Trade brand, which has been one of the bank’s fastest growing businesses since inception. We strongly believe that we can provide strong financing solutions to exporters seeking stronger sales within the region.
He added, “Dubai plays a key role as a trading hub for the global food industry, and Noor Trade can provide support in the region. We differentiate ourselves from other banks in the market with the single window delivery and the broad range of packaged solutions that we offer. This is distinctive compared to other Islamic banks that do not have the high level of expertise that we have established.” Gulfood is one of the largest annual food and hospitality shows in the region. The event attracted over 80,000 trade attendees last year, with over 60% from outside the UAE. With over one million square feet of floor space, the event brings together exporters seeking a good return on investment.
