Provis joined the world to mark Earth Hour by switching off all non-essential lighting for one hour across sixteen residential communities in Abu Dhabi from 8:30 PM to 9:30 PM. Residents living in Provis managed communities were also encouraged to switch off to show the world that every little contribution can make a tangible difference.

HP Aengaar, Provis CEO, said, “This year, Provis participates in Earth Hour as a symbolic gesture to honor those on the frontlines who are working hard to keep us all safe in the current environment. The amount of electricity we were able to reduce in one hour shows that many of our residents joined in and switched off at home for our mother Earth.  I am confident that this would show the world our unity and build a sustainable future for generations to come.”

As a result of the Earth Hour participation, more than 5,000 KWH of electricity was saved and 3000 kg of CO2 equivalent reduced, which could light up 274 rural households for one month. Participating communities included Gate and Arc Towers, Sun and Sky Towers, Al Zeina, Al Bandar, Al Muneera, Al Hadeel, Al Ansam, Al Raha Gardens, Golf Gardens and Al Ghadeer among others.
