Qatar Airways Today announced that it will participate in the 8th Annual Qatar UK Career Fair, which will take place in London on Saturday 21 February.
The airline will participate in the fair through its Al Darb Qatarisation Programme, which provides Qataris with an unprecedented opportunity to join Qatar Airways and the fast-growing aviation sector, Qatar Airways press release said Through its participation in the fair, which is organized by the Qatari Embassy in London, Qatar Airways seeks to inform Qatari students in the UK of the various opportunities it provides for students and graduates through the nine programs that the Al Darb Qatarisation initiative offers.
Al Darb offers students and graduates employment and training opportunities, helps them pursue their studies to develop their careers, and prepares them for strategic roles and leading responsibilities in Qatar Airways.
HE Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive said: “We are pleased to have a long standing presence at the Annual Qatar UK Career Fair to introduce the rewarding opportunities that the airline provides and the long term career paths available for Qatari Talents when joining the team of the national carrier of Qatar.” Dr. Kholode Al-Obaidli, Vice President of National Talent Management at Qatar Airways, commented: “We are pleased to participate in the 8th Annual Qatar UK Career Fair to showcase our various programmes and attract more Qatari talent to work for the national airline.” Qatar Airways will participate in the fair along with nine other Qatari companies. The airline will interview students who applied for Al Darb’s various programmes and introduce its employment and career development opportunities to students.
Al Darb programs include the National Scholarship Programme, the Graduate Development Programme in cooperation with Massey University in New Zealand, the Aviation Management Programme, and the Internship Programme.
Qatar Airways talent management team, trained graduates, and students on Qatar Airways scholarships studying in the United Kingdom will be available at the fair to provide guidance regarding the benefits of Qatar Airways employment and training programmes. They will answer students’ questions and share their expertise with them.
Al Darb Programme offers employment and training opportunities for new graduates as well as scholarships to university students. It supports 23 majors and targets highly ambitious students with high performance and the potential to be experienced and professionals in the aviation sector.
The Qatar Airways Qatarisation programme seeks to train participants to apply what they learn in real-life situations, not just in Qatar, but in numerous locations across the globe. The programme creates a world of real opportunities.
