Tammam Salam, Lebanese Prime Minister meets KFAED delegation

Lebanese Prime Minister Tammam Salam received here on Thursday a delegation from Kuwait Fund for Arab Economic Development (KFAED), led by the Fund’s Director General Abdulwahab Al-Bader.
The meeting reviewed the KFAED funding for socio-economic development projects in Lebanon, Al-Badr told KUNA following the meeting.
“We have briefed Prime Minister Salam on the new accords signed with his government earlier today; these include an agreement on launching a slaughterhouse in Tripoli and a grant for in the framework of Kuwait contributions to the communities hosting Syrian refugees,” he revealed.
He was referring to pledges made by Kuwait during the Second International Humanitarian Pledging Conference for Syria, hosted by Kuwait in January 2013.
Al-Badr reaffirmed Kuwait commitment to support the development process in Lebanon based on the sisterly ties between the two countries.
The meeting gathered KFAED’s regional director for Arab countries Marwan Al-Ghanim, KFAED’s resident representative in Lebanon Nawaf Al-Dabbos, and third secretary of Kuwait Embassy here Mohammad Al-Woqyan, as well as other officials of the fund.
