Mashreq Al Islami wins Best Islamic Window and Innovative Islamic Banking Solution Provider

The Islamic banking division of UAE’s leading financial institution, Mashreq, recently received two prestigious awards.

At the Islamic Business and Finance Awards, Mashreq Al Islami was announced the winner of Best Islamic Window 2014 at the Islamic Business and Finance Awards.

Established in 2005, the Islamic Business and Finance Awards aim to recognise the best performing institutions in a variety of regions where Islamic finance is either already developed or is rapidly expanding. The event is truly global and attracts nominations and submissions from Europe, Americas, Africa, Middle East and Asia.

Tooran Asif, CEO of Mashreq Al Islami, accepted the award in the presence of other senior executives from the Bank. He said, “We are proud to receive these awards, as it reflects our commitment and resolve to continue to invest in and grow our Islamic business. The UAE is emerging as a serious player on the global map in the Islamic Banking market, promising heavy growth in coming years, we are Mashreq Al Islami are geared up to leverage on that.

The Best Islamic Window Award is a testament that we are offering one of the best products and services and have significantly up-scaled our capabilities to offer competitive products keeping in mind high degree of Shariah credence.” Mashreq Al Islami also received the Innovative Islamic Banking Solution Provider from Global Banking and Finance Review Awards 2014. The award reflects the innovation, achievement, strategy, progressive changes taking place within the Global Financial community.

Asif continued, “The Innovative Islamic Banking Solutions Provider award from Global Banking and Finance Review UK\ is a recognition of our continuous efforts of providing speedy, flexible, and innovative digital solutions, to the customers who would prefer Islamic Banking products if they find flexibility and convenience of usage according to best in class standards.” Mashreq Al Islami continues to expand its Sharia-compliant product offerings to cater to customer requirements and further strengthen its Islamic banking proposition. Mashreq Al Islami has focused on offering a full suite of Sharia-compliant products and services, with a host of new products launched for both retail and corporate customers.
