SHARJAH – SAIF ZONE has concluded its successful participation in Sial – Paris, one of the largest Food and Beverage exhibitions in the world.

“The Middle East market is rapidly expanding and we want to attract more multinationals in the F&B sector to the SAIF ZONE. More than 90 percent of the GCC countries’ food requirements are met through imports, and SAIF ZONE is the best trade and logistic hub for them,” commented Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF ZONE).

“During the event, our team mainly highlighted the vast growth opportunities and showcased SAIF ZONE’s world-class offerings and services. The event helped us to portray SAIF ZONE and its advantages to the Europe and Americas,” Al Mazrouei added.

The SAIF ZONE team was led by Mohammed Al Mahmoud, Commercial Director, and was comprised of Ali Al Mutawa, Sales Officer and Boutheina Manai, Integrated Marketing Communications Officer.

“We actively participated in the five-day SIAL exhibition that attracted a huge trade crowd from different corners of the world. It was the focal meeting point of the agri-food-world and we hope that SAIF ZONE will welcome many multinationals soon,” said Mohammed Al Mahmoud.

“The response was overwhelming and SAIF ZONE received many genuine queries from investors and businessmen. Some of them are interested to set up their branches in SAIF Zone,” he added.

“Senior representatives of many top food and beverage companies, from Europe and the Americas have visited our stand. Some traders will visit the Free Zone soon because they want to establish their regional hubs in SAIF ZONE to serve the Middle East and North Africa region,” he concluded.

In SIAL – Paris, the SAIF ZONE stand was visited by dignitaries like Abdullah Al Saleh, Under-Secretary for Foreign Trade Affairs at the UAE Ministry of Economy and Hamad Al Zaabi, First Secretary of the UAE Embassy in Paris and Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Qassimi, Businessman and owner of General Trading Concept, and many others.

The event, which concluded in Paris last week, attracted more than 6,000 exhibitors and 150,000 visitors from over 110 countries. In addition to the F&B industry, the event also had exhibitors from the equipment, technology and service sectors.
