TASWEEK Real Estate Marketing and Development, an advisor and solutions provider serving the property markets, has announced that the 160-bed private hospital forming part of the Marrakesh Healthcare City (MHC) development in Morocco’s third largest city will be completed by Q4 of this year and is set to commence operations by the first half of 2015.

The US$40 million MHC Residential and Healthcare complex has been attracting interest from international investors, especially those based in the GCC, who want to capitalise on Morocco’s real estate potential.

The MHC project forms part of the response to the invitation made by King Mohammed VI of Morocco during his visit to Abu Dhabi. His Majesty called on more bilateral business and investment partnerships to further enhance economic cooperation between Morocco and the UAE and consolidate the visions of their leadership.

MHC, one of the first healthcare investment initiatives in Morocco, is strategically located in Marrakesh just 10 minutes away from both the national airport and the central business district. Covering around 21,000 sq.m., the mixed-use development will also include a 40-room boutique hotel and an apartment village.

On a broader level, TASWEEK aims to encourage and facilitate more investment ventures between GCC states and Morocco as a strategic partner and main sponsor of the 4th Gulf – Moroccan Investment Forum taking place in November 2014 in Casablanca, Morocco. TASWEEK believes that the time is ripe to showcase Morocco as one of the best investment destinations for Arab investors to consider.

“The opening of Marrakesh Healthcare City’s private hospital in the beginning of 2015 will usher in a new era of healthcare in Morocco and across the African region. It will also reveal the diversity of the local real estate market and how TASWEEK intends to serve as a bridge between Arab investors and Moroccan property developers. We are eager to highlight the market potentials of Morocco even more when we sponsor the GCC-Morocco Investment Forum this November,” said Masood Al Awar, CEO, TASWEEK Real Estate Marketing and Development.

The 4th Gulf – Moroccan Investment Forum is an initiative of the Federation of GCC Chambers of Commerce and the Arab Gulf Agency for Media and Communication in cooperation with the Moroccan Government, the General Union of Moroccan Enterprises, and the Union of Moroccan Chambers of Commerce.

It will gather more than 500 Gulf and Moroccan businessmen to discuss investment opportunities in the Kingdom of Morocco and explore potential joint ventures together with the participation of economic, academic and research experts and business, and investments organisations.
