QNB, “One of the World’s Strongest Banks”, has been awarded the “Best Affluent Card” Award across all of the Middle East and Africa markets for its World Elite MasterCard Credit Card program for Private Banking customers.

The prestigious award, recognizing the product being the first of its kind in the MEA region, was presented at the MasterCard Innovation Forum 2014, held recently in Singapore.

The two day event saw more than 400 MasterCard partners and customers from southeast Asia, the Middle East and Africa in attendance, providing a unique platform for MasterCard to promote the exchange of ideas and discuss innovations in the payments industry.

The award recognizes and celebrates both product excellence and best practice in customer service amongst Middle Eastern and African based companies. It also aims to encourage companies to be service focused and to promote the importance of customer service across the region.

Commenting on the significant achievement, Heba Al-Tamimi, General Manager Group Retail Banking at QNB, said: “This is an important milestone for QNB, receiving such a prestigious award recognition. It is a reflection of our ongoing commitment to be the dominant bank in Qatar and a leading financial institution across the MEA region.

Being recognized for outstanding product excellence and quality customer service is important to QNB Private Banking, and this award will act as a further catalyst in our pursuit of looking for more innovative ways to reward our customers through the delivery of premium products and quality service.” QNB launched the first exclusive diamond-embedded QNB Private World Elite MasterCard credit card in the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region last year.

The card comes with a top-of-the-line unique customer value proposition, meant to serve the VIP luxury traveler, which includes no preset spending limit, personal travel advisers, around-the-clock dedicated luxury lifestyle concierge, bespoke personal shopping experiences at key international destinations, and invitations to priceless insider experiences.

QNB was the first bank in the country to issue a card with customer benefits of this caliber. The diamond-embedded card has been designed by QNB and MasterCard to meet the lifestyle needs of this segment, and is available by invitation only.

The QNB Private World Elite MasterCard credit card is a new experience-based service platform for affluent customers, which delivers a mix of benefits and rewards, unmatched world travel and lifestyle expertise, and global acceptance.
QNB currently operates in more than 26 countries and across 3 continents. It was recently awarded the status of “Best Bank in The Middle East 2014” by Euromoney Magazine.
